Visit to Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG) 漫遊嘉道理

Forest accounts for approximately 25% of Hong Kong's land area, but nearly all of this is relatively recent secondary growth, many of which suffer from arrested succession. KFBG has undertaken forest restoration programmes for decades, hoping to revert KFBG's hillside to mixed native woodland of high ecological value.

The tour is divided into two sections. We will begin in KFBG's Native Tree Nursery, where diverse native tree species are grown from seed and nurtured into seedlings. Following this, we will visit the tree planting site where the restoration effort is actively taking place.

香港土地約有25%的面積為森林地帶，但其中幾乎全部都是相對較新的次生林，其中許多正面臨自然演替受到窒礙的困境。嘉道理農場暨植物園(KFBG)為此已經進行了數十年的森林復育計劃，希望將園區內的山坡恢復成具有高生態價值的混合原生林。

這次參觀將分為兩個部分。首先我們前往園區內的本土樹木苗圃，那裡種植了由各種原生樹種種子培育而成的苗木。接著，我們將參觀森林恢復實驗樣地，這裡正在積極進行復育工作，您可以和我們一同探索，見證森林的成長！

The tour requires participant to hike on trails. Participants please ensure that you are physically fit for hiking, wear proper outdoor outfits and bring enough drinking water for the activity.
